Fizzlemint Closing Argument
Fizzlemint Kids is a toothpaste that fizzes like a mint. A kid argues against bedtime brushing like a courtroom lawyer while a tired dad holds the line. The dad lands the button.
A bathroom at bedtime. SAM, in pajamas, stands on a step stool at the sink holding a toothbrush like a gavel. DAD leans in the doorway, arms crossed, tired but amused.
Sound: a faucet drip. A hallway clock.
SAM
(formal, pacing the bath mat)
Your Honor. I mean, Dad. I brushed this morning. The record will show.
DAD
(flat)
The record shows you licked the brush.
SAM
(hand up)
Allegedly.
(turning, dramatic)
Furthermore. I've had zero snacks since dinner. Zero. So my teeth are basically already clean.
DAD
The chocolate on your chin says otherwise.
SAM wipes chin fast. Regroups.
SAM
(rapid, lawyerly)
Fine. I'm willing to settle. One minute. Not two. Bottom teeth only. Final offer.
DAD picks up a tube of Fizzlemint and squeezes it onto the brush. The paste sparkles, a little fizz on top.
DAD
(calm, holding it out)
Counteroffer. Two minutes. Fizzlemint. Tastes like a mint that fizzes. You won't even notice the time.
SAM sniffs. Eyes widen. Grabs the brush and scrubs with sudden enthusiasm.
SAM
(mouth full of foam)
Objection withdrawn.
DAD
(to camera, dry)
Case closed. Every night. Somehow.
